Oh, Kentucky

Your First Region boys' soccer champions are the Heath Pirates! It'll be Henderson County at Heath on Monday in the round of 16, and it appears that the Pirates could be playing at home all the way to the championship if they keep winning.

The marching-band playoffs are also in progress.

I'm looking to a big second season of Fantasy Legislature.

Here are your top teachers of the year. (WKU, represent!)

Rest in peace, Mrs. Moosnick, friend of the arts, and Mr. Reinke, photographer of everything in Kentucky.

Who will get the new VA hospital?

Made in (Jessamine County) U.S.A.

Turning to the routes beat ...

Good jobs news from Florence and Lebanon, bad from Madisonville and PR jive from Frankfort: the state's jobless rate "went" to 9.7 percent last month.

Moving on in Louisville.

I'd never heard of East Ridge High School or Lick Creek.

"Turtleman" is an occasional Joe B and Denny caller.

Joe B is so right about rugby, by the way.
