This is a Heath Post Special Report ... The Detroit Tigers have selected a Heath High School product, Chad Wright, in today's ninth round of the Major League Baseball draft. Before moving on to an All-Southeastern Conference career as a University of Kentucky outfielder, Wright broke Heath's records for career stolen bases and career football rushing yards.
I think his dad, Greg Wright, might've been one of Jack Haskins's first star running backs at Heath in the middle 1970s.
