College World Series Update

So Vandy and UVA have been eliminated, and it will be Florida and South Carolina for all the marbles. Whoever scouted Vandy's hitters for Florida should get a medal; Florida was the only team to trouble Vandy all year, but the Dores were never able to figure out a way to score many runs against Florida.

Florida and South Carolina will play best two out of three for the title. This will be the third year in a row that the SEC has taken both the football title and the baseball title. It should be noted that in this year's tournament, Florida, Vandy, and South Carolina all went undefeated against teams that were not from the SEC.

BRACKET A:
Vanderbilt 7, N. Carolina 3
Florida 8, Texas 4
N. Carolina 3, Texas 0 (Texas eliminated)
Florida 3, Vanderbilt 1
Vanderbilt 5, N. Carolina 1 (N. Carolina eliminated)
Florida 6, Vanderbilt 4 (Vanderbilt eliminated)

BRACKET B:
Virginia 4, California 1
S. Carolina 5, Texas A & M 4
California 7, Texas A & M 3 (Texas A & M eliminated)
S. Carolina 7, Virginia 1
Virginia 8, California 1 (California eliminated)
