Pennant Fever: Man Utd Wraps It Up

We long-time watchers of the English Premier League were not surprised that after bumbling around for the last few weeks, Manchester United easily swept aside Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford to virtually clinch their 19th title -- putting them one ahead of Liverpool for the most titles of all time. It only took 36 seconds for United to score, and they didn't have too much trouble after that.

So United has pretty much ruined Chelsea's whole season. They knocked Chelsea out of the Champions' League by beating them in the quarterfinals, and today they finished off their chances of winning the League title.

It is now clear that Barca and Man Utd are the two best teams in Europe. On May 28, they will finally play each other for all the marbles.

1. Man Utd: 22-4-10 (76 pts)
2. Chelsea: 21-8-7 (70 pts)
3. Arsenal: 19-7-10 (67 pts)
4. Man City: 18-9-8 (62 pts)
5. Spurs: 14-7-14 (56 pts)
6. Liverpool: 16-12-7 (55 pts)
