Pennant Fever: City Makes It

Earlier this week, Manchester City finally clinched a top-four finish -- and a spot in next year's Champions' League -- with a 1-0 win over Spurs. It has been an amazing year for the long-suffering City fans -- but it can get even better on Saturday if they beat Stoke City to win the F.A. Cup. On the other hand, Stoke will like their chances, too -- they are currently in eighth place in the English Premier League, only four spots behind City.

Also, Kenny Dalglish, who has done a fabulous job with Liverpool down the stretch, has been named the full-time manager for next year. Expect the Reds to be strong contenders for a Champions' League place next season.

1. Man Utd: 22-4-10 (76 pts)
2. Chelsea: 21-8-7 (70 pts)
3. Arsenal: 19-7-10 (67 pts)
4. Man City: 19-9-8 (65 pts)
5. Liverpool: 17-12-7 (58 pts)
6. Spurs: 14-8-14 (56 pts)

Meanwhile, with one game left in the Scottish season, it looks as though Rangers will be champions for the third straight year. They only have to beat Kilmarnock (13-14-10) on Sunday to retain the title:

1. Rangers: 29-5-3 (90 pts)
2. Celtic: 28-4-5 (89 pts)
