As you learned from Eric's great coverage last week, Rockcastle County won the girls' state championship last week, beating Lou. Manual 62-60. I just wanted to add that this was the first time since 2007 that the girls' state champion is not from Louisville, and the first time since 2000 that the girls' state champion is not from Louisville or Lexington.
