Here we go.

  1. Portland 0 - 8 Kentucky (15:33 left in 1st half)

A great start for the Cats, who look very sharp at both ends of the court. Portland needs to slow down the tempo.

  2. Portland 3 - 15 Kentucky (11:31 left in 1st half)

Miller had a 7-0 run to give UK a 15-0 lead before Portland finally scored. Portland has been shooting very badly, but presumably that won't last forever.

  3. My main man Darius, baby.

Too, everybody here at our house was thrilled to see Tubby beat UNC.

  4. Portland 13 - 23 Kentucky (6:59 left in 1st half)

As I expected, Portland has gotten their offense in gear. Knight and Miller have 16 of Kentucky's points. Jones -- who had 25 last week against ETSU -- only has 2 so far in front of his home town.

  5. Portland 17 - 31 Kentucky (3:24 left in 1st half)

Miller has been great; he's got 9 points. Knight has 13. The team has been very aggressive on defense. On the whole, this has been a very solid performance so far.

  6. Portland 24 - 38 Kentucky (Halftime)

Kentucky jumped out to a 0-15 lead and the two teams have played pretty even since then. Lamb has come off the bench to hit two big threes, and Kentucky has done a good job of contesting Portland's shots down low.

  7. Portland 26 - 45 Kentucky (15:51 left in 2d half)

Nice start for the Cats as Terrence Jones gets a couple of baskets and UK continues to play very rugged defense. Portland has hit only 10 of 37 shots so far.

  8. Portland 32 - 57 (10:39 left in 2d half)

This is just an overwhelming performance -- particularly to be on the road with such a young team. Knight has 19 points; Miller has 12.

  9. Portland 34 - 64 Kentucky (7:34 left in 2d half)

Kentucky is 7-13 from three-point range in this game; Portland is 3-18 from behind the line. Those are very happy numbers for a UK fan.

  10. It's a lot of fun to see Kentucky so aggressively defending the three-point attempt. That was a heck of a block by my main man, Darius Miller.

  11. Portland 48 - 79 Kentucky (Final)

Maybe Kentucky should play more games in Oregon. That was very, very pleasant. Everybody looked good. The Cats now head for Maui, where they will play three games in three days, and we will all learn a lot more about what they can be.
