Album Review: Escape the Fate by Escape the Fate

Escape The Fate (Deluxe Version)This album opened at number 25 on the Billboard chart.  I'm assuming that will be it's peak, but I'm surprised for such a high start for a band I've never heard of.  The Metal scene is quietly tucked away in its own world and the rest of us have no clue it seems.

This is very generic stuff and does nothing to grab me.  There just isn't anything about the sound of this band or even any particular song that says there is anything unique going on here.

I can't really see playing this for any reason.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 0 out of 5 stars for Don't Like.

  1. I love albums that have the same name as the band that made the album. I also like band names that make a sentence, like "Rage Against the Machine." So I am now a big "Escape the Fate" fan, even though I've never heard of them before.

Oooh, looking them up on Wikipedia I see that they are from Las Vegas, and that their first EP was called "There's No Sympathy for the Dead." That's an awesome name for a metal album -- or any album, really. It would be a great name for a country song, for example.
