Soccer is the only sport that still has true pennant races. The champion of the English Premier League, for example, is simply the team that is in first place at the end of the regular season. I miss pennant races in American sports, which is one of the reasons I like British soccer.
Anyway, the new season begins today. Here are my predictions for the EPL:
Champion: Manchester Utd
Top 4: Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City
F.A. Cup Winner: Chelsea
Relegated: Blackpool, Stoke, Wolverhampton
