Oh, Kentucky

Joe Jackson reports at westkentuckystar.com that a Mayfield High School grad says he lost his job teaching in Tennessee over a song critical of President Obama's administration.

This one hurts. It's very possible that the senior linebacker who led Webster County in tackles is a distant relative from Rachel's dad's stream of the family.

It's discouraging that Dolphins coach Tony Sparano did not call out Micah Johnson by name in his general praise for the play of Miami's inside linebackers in an exhibition win over Jacksonville on Saturday. However, the former Fort Campbell HS and UK standout did record another three tackles and survive Monday's round of cuts. The Dolphins have one more player to release before Aug. 31, and then there will be a 22-player reduction between now and Sept. 4.
