Last Week in Western Kentucky

Following up on Eric's coverage, here are the scores from last week's football games in western Kentucky (home teams listed first):

I think it's possible that Christian County may be the first Kentucky high school team to score 57 points in four quarters of a regulation football game and lose.  In the last quarter, Caldwell outscored Christian 30-7.

Congrats to Murray High for picking up a huge (and unusual) win in the Bluegrass.

Congrats to Eric and the Stang Gang for their win over Tilghman.

The KHSAA web page reports that the Covington Catholic/Boone County game on Saturday was called at the half "due to heat."  I've never heard of that before, although I've certainly been to games when I wished that would happen.  Of course, CovCath was up 39-6 at the half, so that may have had something to do with it.
