With Tiger Woods's victory at the Memorial yesterday, he has moved up to fourth in the World Golf Rankings. He is also the highest-ranked American, behind Luke Donald (England), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Lee Westwood (England). Given that Tiger has been practically retired for the last few years, that's quite a commentary on American golf.
