Yes it was overplayed like all of Phil's stuff was but now that there has been some distance in time, I am having the joy of rediscovering these wonderful songs.

Nourhan Ibrahim
"‘That’s All” is a lover’s lament about being ignored and beaten down by an unreceptive partner; despite the despairing tone it’s got a bright sing-along melody that makes the song less depressing than it probably needed to be.

Allanon Snowbound
1 year ago (edited)
For anyone asking why Phil Collins is hated. After “the lamb lies down on broadway” came out Peter Gabriel left the band. At which point Phil Collins stepped in as frontman/lead singer, as well as drummer. Up to “the lamb”, genesis had been straight up a progressive rock band. When Phil stepped in the band transitioned into more easily accessible music. More pop/pop rock than anything. So long time genesis fans, and progressive rock fans took a disliking to Phil Collins and the bands new direction. Either way every member of the band is talented. Both Collins and Gabriel are great songwriters and singers. Finally, both Prog-era and pop-era of genesis is great.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-15137041734602375942021-09-21T16:37:46.103-04:002021-09-21T16:37:46.103-04:00I think this is the former Mrs. Springsteen in the...I think this is the former Mrs. Springsteen in the .38 Special video for "If I'd Been the One."Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-57648081583808229112021-09-21T16:34:04.691-04:002021-09-21T16:34:04.691-04:00I did not remember the Bette Midler version of &qu...I did not remember the Bette Midler version of "Beast of Burden."Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-61443944095123863192021-09-21T14:27:44.034-04:002021-09-21T14:27:44.034-04:00There exists what is purported to be a banned vide...There exists what is purported to be a banned video for "In a Big Country" on YouTube, and, if that really was the band's first draft, I side with the suits who made the boys revise to the three-wheelers.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-27230208924043306712021-09-21T14:16:41.118-04:002021-09-21T14:16:41.118-04:00No, Martha Quinn is No. 2; Mark Goodman, No. 3.No, Martha Quinn is No. 2; Mark Goodman, No. 3.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-16948578627944736982021-09-21T14:15:58.296-04:002021-09-21T14:15:58.296-04:00Candy and cassettes ... clothes and Clearisil ...Candy and cassettes ... clothes and Clearisil ...Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11218278987255792995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697242053625998558.post-14757220520253230402021-09-21T14:12:09.920-04:002021-09-21T14:12:09.920-04:00Oh, yeah ...
