The Masters: Second Round

Here's the top ten after the second round of the Masters.  Of the golfers on this list, only Scheffler, Lowry, and Thomas broke 70.  Scheffler is the only man in the field to break 70 two days in a row.

1.  S. Scheffler-8 (69+67=136)

T2.  C. Schwartzel (RSA):  -3 (72+69=141)
T2.  S. Im (KOR):  -3 (67+74=141)
T2.  S. Lowry (IRL):  -3 (73+68=141)
T2.  H. Matsuyama (JPN):  -3 (72+69=141)

T6.  H. Varner III-2 (71+71=142)
T6.  D. Johnson-2 (69+73=142)
T6.  K. Na-2 (71+71=142)
T6.  C. Smith (AUS):  -2 (68+74=142)

T10.  C. Conners (CAN):  -1 (70+73=143)
T10.  C. Morikawa-1 (73+70=143)
T10.  W. Zalatoris-1 (71+72=143)
T10.  D. Willett (ENG):  -1 (69+74=143)
T10.  J. Niemann (CHI):  -1 (69+74=143)
T10.  J. Thomas-1 (76+67=143)

Scheffler is only 25 years old, and he has obviously never faced the type of pressure he will experience over the next two days.  On the other hand, he is the number-one ranked golfer in the world.

  2. This week, '70's on 7 played Casey Kasem's countdown for April 9, 1977, and this might be my favorite countdown of all time. It featured "Hotel California," "Maybe I'm Amazed," "Fly Like an Eagle," and a bevy of other favorites. Number 1 was "Dancing Queen."
