Album Review: Pagans in Vegas by Metric
Metric has been putting out albums since 2003. This album more than any of their others I can recall draws heavily from late 80's early 90's electronica influences like Depeche Mode and New Order. For the most part the album works well. Good hooks, good beats and I really like the song "Celebrate." The last two instrumental songs are throwaways for me, but that's OK, I can just turn it off after track 10.
All in all I've enjoyed listening to this album. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
Is that first song in the "rdio" mix a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Boxer"?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good catch
DeleteIs it really? It was an honest question.
DeleteNo it's not, but I like the thought.
